Synthesis of mixed alcohols together with clean fuels from syngas via Fischer-Tropsch synthesis is an attractive route for the utilization of coal, natural gas and biomass. In this work, a monometallic cobalt catalyst (Co/SiO2-EOAM) was synthesized by impregnation using ethanolamine modified silica pellet as support and employed for the conversion of syngas. The combustion of carbon and nitrogen species during the calcination of catalyst facilitated the interaction between cobalt and support, which promoted the cobalt dispersion while inhibited the reduction of cobalt oxide. The Co/SiO2-EOAM catalyst exhibited much higher activity and selectivity to alcohols compared to un-modified silica supported cobalt catalyst (Co/SiO2). The higher activity was resulted from the improved cobalt dispersion. The co-existence of abundant metallic cobalt and Co2+ species were responsible for the increasing of alcohols selectivity.  相似文献

Green combustion was used to prepare a ferrite composition of Mg0.4Zn0.6Fe2O4 using a blend of fresh lemon juice as a natural fuel-reductant. Effect of heat treatment on phase, morphological, dielectric, and humidity sensor properties is discussed. The formation of a cubic spinel ferrite has been established by XRD-diffraction and vibrational spectroscopic studies. The experimental lattice parameter ranges from 8.3721 to 8.3631 Å. The broadening of octahedral band (υ2) in the vibrational spectra is an identification for the existence of ferrite nanoparticles in various sizes. The typical crystallite size ranges from 10.2 to 36.9 nm. Using micrographs obtained from field-effect scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), researchers observed a spherical-shaped microstructure with agglomerated nanoparticles. Dielectric investigations have shown that the current ferrite composition has typical dielectric dispersion. The highest reported value for saturation magnetization (Ms) in the present study is 33 emu/g. Magnetic behaviour is primarily influenced by magnetocrystalline anisotropy, cation distribution, and crystallite size. The existence of void spaces in the sintered samples, as well as their porous nature, rendered them suitable for humidity sensor applications. Sintered samples have good sensing capability at 900 °C. The current findings are integrated in terms of cation distribution and magnetocrystalline anisotropy, assuming fine size effects of ferrite nanoparticles.  相似文献

The activity of catalysts with various sizes was compared in a fixed-bed Fischer–Tropsch reactor under similar operating conditions by determining the deactivation model. Catalyst size had no impact on the type of deactivation model. The smaller catalyst showed a smaller deactivation constant of catalyst (kd) and a lower deactivation rate in the initial stage. The decline in the activities of the catalyst with a mesh size of 40 was lower than the other catalysts, suggesting its higher long-term stability (ass). Larger catalyst sizes led to the fouling of carbon and heavy hydrocarbons, decreasing the specific surface of the catalyst, thus increasing the pore diffusion resistance and further decrementing the catalyst activities.  相似文献

In the scope of the rapid technological advancements, nanoparticles (NPs) have gained prominence due to their excellent and tunable biological, and physicochemical properties. Nowadays, different methods are used for their synthesis. In particular, the green synthesis of metal precursors for the synthesis of NPs, represents a cost-effective, environmentally friendly, and hazardous chemical-free method for developing a large variety of NPs. By exploiting plant extracts, the production rate of NPs is relatively faster. Due to fossil reserves and high fuel consumption, renewable and clean energy materials are urgently needed to improve environmental sustainability. With outstanding electrochemical and physicochemical characteristics, molybdenum-based NPs (Mo-NPs) are gaining increasing attention in the fields of energy conversion and storage. Considering the significance of Mo-NPs synthesized from greener routes and their energy applications, it is necessary to review recent trends and developments in this field. This review summarizes important research studies and future research guidelines for the preparation of Mo-NPs through green routes and their applications to meet global energy and environmental demands. Moreover, future research directions are also highlighted to achieve sustainable greener precursors and Mo-NPs based energy storage devices.  相似文献

Polymer electrets have revealed great potential application in electromechanical devices because of the low weight, large quasi-piezoelectric sensitivity, and excellent flexibility. For an electret, a permanent and macroscopic electric field exists on the surface, principally led by a macroscopic electrostatic charge on the surface or a net orientation of polar groups inside the object. Here, progress in the development of polymer electrets is reviewed. After a brief retrospect of the research courses and those typical polymer electrets that are classified into fluorine polymer and nonfluorine polymer, we present a survey on the charging methods, including corona, soft X-ray, contact, thermal and monoenergetic particle beams. The latest representative applications (i.e., power harvesting, sensors, field effect transistors, and biomedicine) based on polymer electrets are also summarized. Finally, we complete this review with a discussion on perspectives and challenges in this field.  相似文献

Hydraulic fracturing with slickwater is a field-proven stimulation technology used in tight reservoirs. Because of the high pumping rate associated with slickwater fracturing, drag reduction (DR) is critical in minimizing pressure drop and the success of oilfield operations. In this paper, a new type of drag reducer (SPR) was synthesized with acrylamide and 12-allyloxydodecyl acid sodium, and its drag reduction performance was evaluated. The results showed that the new drag reducer features low molecular weight, fast-dissolving rate and low interfacial tension. The algorithm of estimating the drag reduction rate of non-Newtonian fluid SPR was proposed and validated. Empirical or semianalytical models for estimating the friction ratio (σ) or friction factor (λ or f) were used to simulate the turbulence behavior of the SPR drag reducer under different Reynolds numbers (Re). The modified Virk's correlation could accurately model the turbulent behavior of the SPR drag reducer. A unified calculation formula was established in this study for different pipe diameters.  相似文献

Exocytosis plays an essential role in the communication between cells in the nervous system. Understanding the regulation of neurotransmitter release during exocytosis and the amount of neurotransmitter content that is stored in vesicles is of importance, as it provides fundamental insights to understand how the brain works and how neurons elicit a certain behavior. In this minireview, we summarize recent progress in amperometric measurements for monitoring exocytosis in single cells and electrochemical cytometry measurements of vesicular neurotransmitter content in individual vesicles. Important steps have increased our understanding of the different mechanisms of exocytosis. Increasing evidence is firmly establishing that partial release is the primary mechanism of release in multiple cell types.  相似文献

The influence of cementite spheroidization on the impact toughness and electrochemical properties of a high-carbon steel has been thoroughly investigated in this study. Heavy warm rolling, followed by 2 h of annealing, has resulted in near-complete spheroidization, leading to a microstructure consisting of nano-cementite globules dispersed in the ultrafine-grained ferritic matrix. The Charpy impact test exhibited superior impact toughness with increased spheroidization. It is validated by the presence of abundant dimples in the fractographs of spheroidized specimens, in contrast to the as-received one that experienced a brittle failure due to its lamellar pearlitic structure. Potentiodynamic polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) carried out in a 3.5% NaCl solution revealed that the corrosion resistance of the alloy gets improved with the increase in the degree of spheroidization. This is attributed to the lower susceptibility of the spheroidized specimen to microgalvanic corrosion owing to the minimum area of contact between nano-spheroidized cementite and ferrite, as elucidated with the help of EIS results aided by equivalent electrical circuit model.  相似文献

Gadolinium oxide ceramic powders were mixed to cerium oxide ceramic powders, pressed to pellets, and sintered either at 1450 °C or applying 200 V cm−1 electric field at 800 °C, 900 °C and 1000 °C. The structural phases and the microstructure of the sintered pellets were analyzed by X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy, respectively. The formation of substitutional solid solution was followed by monitoring the increase of the electrical conductivity by impedance spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction. The main results show that Joule heating due to the flow through the pellets of the electric current, which was produced by the application of the electric field, allows for promoting partial solid solution as well as partial sintering the ceria-gadolinia pellets. Moreover, grain growth that occurred in the high temperature sintered pellets was inhibited in the electric field-assisted synthesized/sintered pellets, being an alternative technique for producing cerium oxide-gadolinium oxide solid solutions.  相似文献
